A Stereotype of Any Given Semester

Staying up at a very late time is very common among certain students during any given semester. Also, there is more of this occurrence in the very last weeks, especially when there are large assignments from each class overlapping each other and tests to study. Apparently, these are the kinds of things that leaves an unsavory taste to students who have the mind set that they just want to get the semester done and over with and just get some grade.

In about the year of 2002 or 2003, I remember my mother stood over my shoulders while I played “Where in the USA is Carmen SanDiego?” and recognized a song that she remembered when she had lived in Oregon. The very song that caught her attention was Mary McCaslin’s “Way Out West.” She really enjoyed that song. When she heard it again when I played my game, she wanted to get information so she could buy a tape of that song. I went in the game’s index and got the information so my mom could enjoy her song. She got her tape and played it a lot, especially when she drove me to appointments.

Vikings-Lions Result

Among the recently finished games of Week 10, the particular team that added a win in their record column is the Minnesota Vikings (8-1). Overall, the Vikings did well; however, there were certain things that–in some essence, kept the Lions near in tying. The Vikings came out on top and kept their lead, which ultimately created the game’s complexion of their likely ability of winning. They won, 27-10; however, fumbles and penalties affected them, but did not give sway to the Lions to the full extent of giving up the game on a “silver platter.”

One of the many games for week 10 in the NFL schedule is the Vikings (7-1) and Lions (1-7) game. Although the win-loss record is lopsided, the Vikings should not take the Lions lightly. The Vikings have a better chance in winning the game more than the Lions because the Vikings have more pieces of the puzzle of the game strategy. In all aspects of the game, the Vikings dominate according to the statistics against the Lions in offense, defense, and special teams. It seems more likely that the Vikings will come out with a win and the Lions will cower like kittens.

In the aftermath of Week 8 and prior to Week 9, the game to reckon with must be the Vikings and Packers game because it was the most talked about among sportscasters from various stations. NFL Total Access named this game “Favreageddon.” The attention grabber for this particular game was that of Brett Favre who was formerly a Packer. Favre returned to Lambeau Field with a donned purple Viking uniform and played against his former team, and beat them 38-26. Statistically, he was perfect by having no sacks taken and no interceptions thrown. Yet, he threw 4 touchdowns. This victory for him was special because his return to his former field was a-homecoming.

Before Week 8 starts on Sunday for the NFL, there are several videos on YouTube regarding Adrian Peterson running over William Gay in the Viking-Steelers. One of the video are as follows–directed to link:

As far as my reaction is concerned, I am surprised at how hard Adrian Peterson applied the hit on William Gay. Although the Vikings lost to the Steelers, I have my confidence that the Vikings will make it to playoffs.

My response to this article is very surprising in which seven pieces of fat ‘n greasy burgers celebrates Microsoft’s release of Windows 7. In my opinion, I think that it is a bunch of nonsense that a technological entity is advertised via an inciting victual that is completely unhealthy.
